Job DescriptionMighty Distributing System of America (MDSA), a franchisor of sales and services in aftermarket auto parts, is looking for an enthusiastic associate to join our team at Mighty's distribution hub – Mighty Product Center (MPC) in Jackson, Tennessee. MPC supports 100+ U.S. distributors in 46 states, five international master distributors, and local professional installers.MPC has an average tenure of 13.8 years, and we are seeking a qualified associate to join our work family! General Responsibilities/Job SummaryThe Associate Buyer's goal is to ensure that the business consistently has adequate stock that meets its requirements. That way, we can deliver value to our customers through high-quality products and facilitate sustainable growth. The qualified candidate must work on various product lines and exhibit excellent customer service for external and internal organizational partners. This position requires attention to detail and handling multiple projects simultaneously.Responsibilities:

• Responsible for forecasting, scheduling, and maintaining lead times of material
• Professionally corresponds with suppliers regarding the request for quotes and supply chain matters.
• Able to plan and prioritize material resources to ensure Operations needs are met
• Able to resolve complex issues in a creative, analytical manner
• Has strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine if they are compatible with company objectives.
• Prepare, review and track purchase orders, price changes, and system updates.
• Monitors quality of goods by reviewing costs, schedules, timeliness of delivery, and conformance to specifications.
• Responsible for maintaining safety stock and min-max levels, re-order points, MRP forecasted demand to reduce lead times while at the same time reducing excess inventory exposure.
• Conducts weekly inventory reports.Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a purchasing role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
  • The ability to pass a background investigation and possesses an acceptable driving record
  • Previous procurement/logistics experience a plus
