This position prefers successful completion of formal high school education or GED. Position is based on year-round employment. Pay is hourly and based on a district scale and is commensurate with relevant education, experience and certifications.Position Summary: To perform all tasks of general maintenance, and any other task with operating excellence, so full use of the facilities may be made for the benefit of students and staff. Required Education / Certification / Endorsement:

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Driver's License & Insurability
• Have experience in any fields covered by the General Maintenance trade
• Meet the health and physical requirements
• Able to stand for long periods of time, claim ladders, and lift at least 60 lbs Essential Functions:
  • Assume responsibility for the safe conditions of flooring, doors and windows, and other elements in school facilities
  • Install or repair ceiling tiles, floor tiles, stair treads or baseboards
  • Install or replace carpeting
  • Install or repair dispensers for paper products and soap
  • Mount or replace bulletin boards, chalk boards, marker boards, maps, and screens
  • Install, repair or replace blinds and shades
  • Check and/or repair roof leaks not covered under warranty
  • Repair gutters and downspouts
  • Help other trades when necessary to the operation of the school buildings to maintain efficiency and quality
  • Work under the supervision of the General Maintenance Lead and the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area during and after completion of assigned tasks for safety reasons
