Job Description:

Job Purpose Statement: The position is responsible for removing mold vents from the surface of the tire; inspecting the tire for defects; and sorting the tire for distribution. Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent education requirement Must be at least 18 years of age Must be willing to work any shift and overtime Successfully pass a pre-employment screening Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license Highly desired skills, knowledge, and experience: Previous manufacturing experience Experience in lean, kaizen, and high performance work team Silver level on the Career Readiness Certificate Summary of Responsibility: Responsible for tools used on job (knife and gloves) Responsible for checking silicone levels in buckets Responsible for properly and safely removing tires from the conveyor belt Responsible for properly and safely holding tires on cone and trimming tires Responsible for proper inspection of trimmed tires Responsible for sorting tires that are ready for distribution Responsible for sorting tires that need classifying Understands and follows all safety rules associated with job such as emergency response and PPE Explains and uses lean tools such as 5S, standard work, and kanbans Perform any other functions related to job
