Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Production Specialists will be required to complete various job tasks at any given time:Bread HandlerProtein PlacerSandwich AssemblerCarton LoaderReworkCase Packer & TaperIndividual must be capable of the following:Must have a good understanding of both Processing and Packaging job duties for this class (see below).Must be able to communicate well with others.Trash compactor training.Responsible for adhering to Quality Assurance standardsMust be able to work overtime as required by the company. Must be able to work 12 hour shifts as needed.Follow all company standards of conduct expectations.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Responsibilities for all positions:Bread Handlers:Keep bread supplied to the line.Perform all cleaning and sanitizing functions on the lines.Train for and support any position on the production line as needed such as breadline, assembly, packaging and palletizing.Responsible for overall quality of productCommunicate problems with the line to the Lead, Supervisor and MaintenanceProtein Placers:Place the protein on the bread as it comes through the line.Perform all cleaning and sanitizing functions on the lines.Train for and support any position on the production line as needed such as breadline, assembly, packaging and palletizing.Responsible for overall quality of productCommunicate problems with the line to the Lead, Supervisor and MaintenanceSandwich Assemblers:Complete the assembly of the sandwich before packagingPerform all cleaning and sanitizing functions on the lines.Train for and support any position on the production line as needed such as breadline, assembly, packaging and palletizing.Responsible for overall quality of productCommunicate problems with the line to the Lead, Supervisor and MaintenanceCarton LoaderSettle bags of product into cartons to ensure smooth transition through the Tri-Sealer.Perform all cleaning and sanitizing functions on the lines.Train for and support any position on the production line as needed such as breadline, assembly, packaging and palletizing.Responsible for overall quality of productCommunicate problems with the line to the Lead, Supervisor and MaintenanceCase Pack & Tapers:Hand pack or hand palletize productPerform all cleaning and sanitizing functions on the lines.Train for and support any position on the production line as needed such as breadline, assembly, packaging and palletizing.Responsible for overall quality of productCommunicate problems with the line to the Lead, Supervisor and MaintenanceQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.Education and / or Experience:High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; balance; stoop; kneel; twist; and crouch. Candidate must be able to climb stairs and steps. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
