www.newberrytanks.com Newberry Tanks in West Memphis, Arkansas has
an immediate opening for an experienced Industrial Painter. This
position works within a team of professionals to complete the
finest quality coatings and paintings in the tank industry today.
Working with a production supervisor who understands the
manufacturing process flow, this position will provide the
expertise on the paint or coating side. With a reputation for
providing quality products and services in the metal tank
fabrication industry, you will join an experienced team of industry
leading professionals. Working directly with process engineering
and manufacturing experts in the company, you will collaborate on
process and technical developments in existing processes. The main
duties will be: Prepare steel surfaces for painting (grinding,
sanding, cleaning) Apply primers, various epoxy polyurethane, and
single component topcoats using spray equipment Inspect finished
work for quality and consistency Maintain painting equipment and
ensure a clean work environment Follow safety protocols and wear
appropriate PPE Collaborate with production team EDUCATION:
Requires high school diploma or GED equivalency Simple reading and
arithmetic such as addition and subtraction of whole numbers and
reading decimals, and mixing ratios. Work with QC charts, drawings,
and measuring equipment. WORK EXPERIENCE: 3 years of industrial
painting experience (preferred) Familiarity with airless and
conventional spray systems Forklift certification a plus PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS: Moderate physical effort; requires standing for
entire shift; may lift up to 60 lbs. throughout the day; Good eye
and hand co-ordination; good visual acuity in order to perform most
tasks Must be able to climb, stoop, and bend to get up and down
from forklift truck and perform various outside activities
throughout yard.
