Job Description:
The Collaboration Technology Technician is responsible for
providing courteous and timely audio visual and video production
services to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Job
Responsibilities: Create, update, and close support tickets; ensure
timely response and resolution. Act as the first responder for A/V
issues, including operating systems, projection, audio, and
software configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve most issues
independently, escalating unresolved cases with thorough
documentation. Deliver reliable and timely A/V services for campus
events, ensuring the satisfaction of event sponsors and
participants. Assist with inventory, maintenance, and organization
of A/V equipment, including loaner equipment, new installations,
and storage areas. Performing routine preventative maintenance.
Work with AV Engineering and leadership groups to assess,
prioritize, and address outages, change actions, and special
requests. Greet clients before event and provide clear instructions
on how to operate equipment. Provide continued communication with
client to ensure success of all events. Operate audio visual
equipment including projectors, cameras, video switchers, audio
mixers, computers, and wireless microphones. Other duties as
assigned. Minimum Education and/or Training: High School Diploma or
GED required. Minimum Experience: Experience providing support
around IT systems (e.g. operating systems; setup and configuration
of computers and printers in a networked environment; maintenance
of hardware components and computer peripherals) preferred
Knowledge of Video Conference & AV equipment, Webex, Zoom, and
Microsoft Teams operations, with Cisco infrastructure experience
being a plus. Knowledge of conferencing and collaboration
ecosystems (room systems, peripherals, and control) preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills preferred.
Intermediate knowledge of audio and video components, signal types,
cables preferred. Proficiency in programs as PowerPoint, One Drive,
and Outlook preferred. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or
overtime in support of campus events preferred. Ability to assemble
and set up a variety of A/V equipment as needed. Compensation In
recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency
laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the
compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in
good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors
that are considered in making compensation decisions including but
not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and
certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is
not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the
salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts
and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the
current salary range is $22.00 - $38.50 per hour for the role of
