A registered nurse with specialized expertise in operating room care is sought for a contract position located in Cordova, Tennessee. This role requires a proactive professional capable of delivering high-quality surgical nursing care in a dynamic hospital environment. Key Qualifications and Desired Experience: - Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience with travel, or 3 years recent OR experience without travel - Transplant surgery experience preferred but not mandatory - Valid Tennessee RN license or compact license meeting National Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines at the time of application submission - Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility - Ability and willingness to take call shifts (details discussed during the interview) - Current return-to-office (RTO) agreement required upon submission - Proficient in providing perioperative care, patient safety, and critical thinking during complex procedures Schedule and Location: - Shift: 3 days per week, 12-hour day shifts (typically 07:00 - 19:00), with specific times and block scheduling details to be finalized during the interview process - Located in Cordova, TN, a vibrant suburb known for its close-knit community and access to quality healthcare institutions Responsibilities: - Ensure sterile field maintenance and assist surgeons during various complex surgical procedures - Continuously assess patient condition throughout surgical interventions and provide appropriate nursing care - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize operational flow and patient outcomes - Manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment checks - Participate in on-call rotations as agreed upon in advance Contract Opportunity:This assignment offers the opportunity to gain diverse clinical experiences within an established healthcare setting.
