Providing specialized pediatric intensive care requires a skilled and compassionate nursing professional to deliver exceptional care within a dynamic clinical environment. This opportunity involves floating between departments and local locations within a 20-mile radius, offering a varied and engaging work experience. The nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 for holding pediatric or SAC status patients, ensuring focused and attentive care. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct patient care through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of individualized patient needs. Maintain safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care standards throughout each shift. Collaborate closely with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate holistic care efforts. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed or according to standard protocols, documenting all actions accurately. Address patient and family education and discharge planning at admission and throughout care. Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and non-licensed assistive personnel, supporting their clinical performance. Complete unit-specific education and competency testing related to patient populations, procedures, and protocols. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with pediatric intensive care experience. Proficiency in assessing and managing pediatric critical care patients. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to adapt to floating across multiple departments within a local area. Commitment to maintaining up-to-date clinical competencies and education.
