Registered Nurse (RN) | Nursery Location: Clarksdale, MS Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,912 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Nursery RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Nursery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years required License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: First-time travelers accepted Local candidates welcomed Description: The nursery consists of a mix of well babies, intermediate, and level 2 babies. Level 2 infants may require CPAP and occasional short-term intubation. Most intubations are performed for curosurf administration. Long-term intubated infants are not retained in the nursery. Obstetric patients under 35 weeks are typically transferred. If an infant under this gestational age is admitted, stabilization and transfer will occur. Staffing usually includes one RN alongside an LPN or CNA. Census typically ranges from 6 to 8, with occasional surges up to 10 and rare drops to zero for 12 to 24 hours. The RN is responsible for all charting. Efforts are being made to encourage rooming-in, though many mothers prefer to keep the babies in the room. The LPN/CNA will handle most feedings and rounding on the well babies with their mothers. The RN will attend cesarean sections but not vaginal deliveries.
