• Coordinates department operations including scheduling, patient assignments, monitoring department activities and collaborates with other departments to ensure effectiveness of operations and the delivery of quality patient care.
• Coordinates and ensures patient assessments are performed accurately and timely.
• Coordinates and develops a prioritized holistic plan of care based on a comprehensive assessment, desired outcomes and currently knowledge.
• Coordinates and implements the plan of care for patients, either directly or by delegation.
• Ensures patient plan of care is evaluated on a continuous basis.
• Communicates with patients and families and other health team members.
• Demonstrates leadership and promotes professional practice of members of nursing care team.Education/Formal Training Requirements
  • Associate's Degree Nursing- RN
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing- RNWork Experience Requirements
    • 1-3 years Registered NurseLicenses And Certifications Requirements
      • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association
      • Registered Nurse Arkansas - Arkansas State Board of Nursing
      • Registered Nurse Mississippi - Mississippi Board of Nursing
      • Registered Nurse Tennessee - Tennessee Board of NursingKnowledge, Skills And Abilities
        • Demonstrated clinical expertise and leadership ability.
        • Ability to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgment in a professional area.
        • Ability to read and write to communicate verbally and in writing with other individuals.Supervision Provided by this Position
          • Functions in a lead role for Registered Nurses and directs/delegates patient care activities.Physical Demands
            • Frequent invasive & noninvasive patient contact
            • Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials.
            • Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
            • Ability to handle and administer narcotics as needed.
            • Normal hearing; normal vision, including color, night and peripheral vision; Good hand-eye coordination
