thinking is valued! Job Details Overview: We are seeking a hands-on
Senior Buyer to join a growing team responsible for sourcing and
procurement. This role is highly tactical, focusing on supplier
management, inventory control, and day-to-day procurement
operations. The position will sit in Luka, MS, supporting the
production of reverse osmosis systems, with additional coordination
across other product lines. The ideal candidate thrives in
fast-moving environments, has a strong understanding of seasonal
demand planning, and excels at working independently while
collaborating across remote teams. Key Responsibilities: Manage
procurement activities across multiple product categories,
coordinating closely with global supply chain and sales teams to
align inventory levels, supply sources, and production schedules.
Maintain and update MRP databases based on lead times, delivery
schedules, and demand fluctuations. Issue and monitor purchase
orders, ensuring timely, accurate, and quality fulfillment.
Proactively engage with suppliers to resolve delivery issues,
quality concerns, and administrative discrepancies. Support
engineering teams by sourcing materials for new product development
and resolving material constraints on existing products. Oversee
inbound container logistics, including tracking, documentation, and
customs compliance. Monitor commodity pricing across metals, labor,
and other key materials; provide market insights to supply chain
leadership. Evaluate vendor performance, support alternate sourcing
initiatives, and maintain supplier compliance. Communicate lead
time changes and inventory impacts to operations and leadership.
Conduct analytics to support cost reduction initiatives and
material planning efficiency. Collaborate with finance to validate
supplier invoices and address discrepancies. Support inventory
control initiatives to minimize working capital tied up in
slow-moving or excess inventory. Partner with production scheduling
teams to ensure availability of required materials. Contribute to
continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain
function. Key Qualifications: Minimum 7 years of purchasing,
procurement, or supply chain experience; if degreed, would be open
to less experience. Strong experience sourcing components from
Asia, managing consignment agreements, and working with ERP/MRP
systems. Proficient in demand planning, seasonality management, and
dynamic safety stock strategies. Familiarity with ISO9001 quality
management systems and supplier quality oversight. Comfortable
operating in a decentralized environment where key cross-functional
partners are located offsite. Highly organized, self-driven, and
adaptable; able to manage multiple competing priorities. Strong
negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management
skills. Technically proficient in ERP platforms such as Epicor,
Accumatica, Netstock, and advanced Excel (pivot tables). High
